What services does ProLane offer?
ProLane offers three services: driving lessons personalized to your goals, a focused two-hour Freeway Confidence lesson, and DMV drive test car rental for students who need a vehicle on test day.
Where do lessons take place, and is pickup included?
Every lesson includes free pickup and drop-off within our approved service area: Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Van Nuys, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, North Hills, West Hills, Calabasas, and Porter Ranch. You'll enter your exact pickup address when you schedule.
How do I get started?
Choose a package on our Packages page and complete your purchase there. Once you have a package with remaining credits, log into your account to schedule lessons at times that work for you.
How do package credits work?
Each package includes a set number of lesson credits. You can schedule lessons any time through your account, and each booking uses one credit until your package is used up. Credits can only be used for the services included in your package and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to someone else unless approved by ProLane.
Can I use a Driving Lesson credit for Freeway Confidence?
No. Freeway Confidence is a separate service with its own credit. Driving Lesson package credits can only be used to book Driving Lesson appointments.
How do I schedule, reschedule, or cancel a lesson?
You can schedule, reschedule, or cancel lessons any time through your account, based on instructor availability, up to one month ahead. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your lesson. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment are not permitted and may be considered a no-show. Can I cancel my package if I haven't started lessons yet?
If you haven't yet attended your first lesson, you can contact us directly — by phone or email — to request cancellation of the unused package. Your package is only considered cancelled once we've confirmed the request, and cancelling or rescheduling a single lesson does not cancel the whole package. Does purchasing a DMV-related package schedule my actual DMV test?
No. ProLane provides and schedules the vehicle for your DMV drive test, but we never schedule the DMV test appointment itself. After purchasing DMV Drive Test Car Rental or a DMV-inclusive package, contact us directly to arrange your vehicle.
